"When they saw the star, proved the greatest joy" .
is the experience of the finder, like the Magi, the way to reach the goal, that way for a while 'had become obscure, no longer immediately recognizable. But rest assured, even the intellectual honesty, has not dampened the hope. The star is there ahead of us, and draws us to someone ahead of us, who can expect. At the end we realize that the star is the greatest gift to us, beyond our own, albeit important: let us meet with the gift par excellence, that God has wanted to hide, almost confused with one of us.
source in this scene, I see my life, our, who, along with others, to walk a goal. Sometimes we do not know, very often do not feel the same way, we are of different faiths or none at all ... but we still walk side by side, and we find it hard to feel as brothers.
There is always someone who inspires us, makes us out of our apathy, perhaps from our slumber ... It's like a star which points out that "more than" there is something else, lean best of today we experience mediocre or sad.
I see myself in the recent experience of living in the home for the elderly, where soon my pastoral service.
Today's feast, Epiphany, the "distant people" who have found the possibility of a meeting, far beyond mere friendship, a meeting that opens the possibility of a reconciliation, first with themselves, then with those around us.
be like a star for the people I meet as many of them are for me. And give us the gifts that the heart, simplicity, suggests. Hearts open, suffering re-emerging with the desire to be rehabilitated, simple joy of sharing what we find beautiful, intimate beauty in life that still remains. And increases the number, especially people who do not have a specific religious reference, who wants to be at least a little 'touched by that Light which is given to us.
He is the God-Child, the Light that we all seek and that, together, we meet!
